Steel Hollow

Trail Length: 2.8 miles one way

Difficulty: Moderate

Trailhead: 1.6 mile up Right Hand Fork in Logan Canyon , stay to the left at the first junction—GPS: N41°46′656″ W111°37′164″

Elevation Start/Gain: 5600 feet/1800 feet

Route: Follow the Willow Creek/Ricks Canyon trails or the Ephraim's Cut-off trail to the trailheads of Steel Hollow Trail.

Look for the Steel Hollow trailhead along Long Hollow Road (FR 056), 1.4 miles south of Old Ephraim's grave. The trailhead is to the right (west). "This pleasant route drops down moderately for 2.7 miles back to the junction with Ricks Canyon, and then right to Right Hand Fork Road and to the trailhead in 1.1 miles," along Willow Creek trail.

"This... route alternates between meadows and aspen and fir groves, with good views of the Naomi Peak area. Look for clematis vines."
