Card Canyon

Trail Length: 6.5 mile loop

Difficulty: Moderate

Trailhead: 7 miles up Logan Canyon to the Card Canyon turnoff on the right, which is 0.2 mile beyond the Card Canyon picnic site. There is a "Special Use Area, Summer Homes and Cache Archery Range" sign visible as you turn. Continue on the gravel road for 0.7 mile to the locked gate and the parking area.

Elevation Start/Gain: 5500 feet/2300 feet

Route: This is "a moderate loop hike through pleasant terrain, including aspen, maple and fir groves,... meadows, springs and ponds, and rocky cliffs. The route has considerable shade... that makes it a pleasant mid-summer hike. There are east and west... trail[s], both... are about 2.5 miles long, [starting] at the archery range and [going] to the Logan Peak jeep road.... Overall the whole loop is in good shape.... There are options to make the hike into a longer trip that returns down Richards Hollow and to the Left Hand Fork of Blacksmith Fork Canyon. "
